**The Growth Company (GC**) is hiring an Outreach Caseworker to cover the North Yorkshire area to work within probation and HMP prisons**.**
You will be dual trained as a Caseworker and Activity Facilitator, providing advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring and support to a caseload of participants via regular 1:1 meetings and group interventions as appropriate.
**This role will be based at Leeds and Huddersfield Activity Hubs, with travel to outreach venues in North Yorkshire. Harrogate, Skipton, Northallerton and**support at HMP Wealstun, Leeds**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assess individual learning needs and develop tailored action plans.
- Design and deliver training sessions and interventions for participants.
- Establish rapport and supportive relationships with participants.
- Assist participants in accessing and utilising information effectively.
- Document activities and progress in the CRM system, coordinating subsequent actions.
- Guide participants in implementing future plans and courses of action.
- Create and prepare learning materials.
- Lead group learning sessions to enhance communication, social skills, and employability.
**About You**:
- Experience working with offenders or marginalised individuals in training, guidance, advice, and counselling.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, focusing on successful outcomes.
- High-level guidance skills for one-to-one and group sessions.
- Warm, approachable, and empathetic style to build supportive relationships.
- Must have a clean driving licence and own transport.
**Skills Required**:
- Experience in supporting individual progression is most important.
- Knowledge of issues affecting offender rehabilitation and desistance theory.
- Familiarity with National Probation Services, HM Prison environments, and local/national training and employment opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
