**Activities Coordinator**

**Rate of Pay**:£10.42 per hour

**Hours**:Approximately25 hours per week

**Job Summary**:
The activities coordinator is an integral and valued member of the team who works **Monday to Friday 11.00am - 4.00pm **providing a variety of daily activities for residents.

By way of their duties and responsibilities the activities coordinator makes an important contribution in relation to quality of life experienced by residents. The role therefore affords the right person with an **opportunity to make a difference to the lives of others.**

**Qualifications/Skills Required**:

- Previous experience in similar role is preferable;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to work on own initiative;
- Ability to work as part of a team.

**Key Tasks**:

- Organise a schedule of daily activities for residents;
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities while respecting individual choice;
- Arrange regular social events including musical entertainment;
- Promote a programme of physical exercise and accompany residents on outdoor walks;
- Assist with resident meals at lunchtime;
- Maintain records in relation to all activities provided;
- Communicate activity schedule to family members and encourage family members to become actively involved in Residential Home life.
