Loans Administrator, Documentation, Closer

We currently have numerous roles within Loans covering Loans admin, documentation and a loans closer position.

**Loans Admin**

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain client loan accounts and ensure that ongoing client account instructions are implemented efficiently and accurately, and critically, in the best interests of the client and the bank.

This would involve reviewing regular and ad hoc reports, and liaising with colleagues where necessary to address credit risk issues.

Liaising with colleagues to ensure that Deposit Operations is fully joined up in the end to end client experience, including; Becoming a Subject Matter Expert for the rest of the branch on the UK loan products; Responding positively and supportively to enquiriesand requests from other teams; Act as a verification resource, by checking the accuracy other Banking Operations activities and organizing and ensuring the appropriate remediation.

Solid understanding of Loans Administration roles and responsibilities, particularly acting as a Participant, including relevant current market knowledge.

Desired understanding of LoanIQ and all related systems

Solid understanding of SWIFT payments and the wider implications of payment formatting

Understanding underlying legal loan documentation with a view to navigating easily in times of referral;
**Loans Documentation**

Primary Responsibilities:
Review and approve all lending documentation, ensuring operational aspects are controllable and in accordance with agreed procedures.

Execution and approval of consistency check between lending documentation and credit approval in GBR, providing final sign off of Key Terms & Conditions, including fulfilment of credit conditions.

Execution and approval of credit limits in the banks operating systems - FOX, LOAN IQ, OBS, MONTRAN and PROFILE, ensuring all prerequisite requirements are met in relation to local and regulatory validations.

Review risk mitigating documentation, including Credit Risk Insurance and Sub/Risk Participation.

Escalation of the risk issues impacting transactions, both from an internal policy perspective and from a regulatory perspective, allowing for acknowledgment and acceptance where required.

Development of procedures and business process flows with Front Office & Finance Dept for unstructured transactions, ensuring booking methodology is agreed and understood.

Constructively challenge and influence change to enhance business performance for the Section and Department to ensure best practise is established.

Participation in project related work for both Departmental and Bank wide initiatives.

**Loans Closer**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Primary responsibility is to support the Banks Origination and Distribution teams, ensuring timely execution of documentation in relation to Primary Syndication and Secondary Trading transactions.
- Reviewing and understanding syndicated credit agreements with specific focus on transfer mechanics.
- Reviewing, negotiating and drafting LMA standard documents and other trade-related documents including confirmations, assignment agreements and participation agreements.
- Coordinating with internal and external legal counsel to agree to proposed changes to trade documents.
- Identifying and escalating issues to the front office trading teams, internal legal counsel and operations management.
- Creating and understanding key metrics reporting for daily / weekly / monthly reporting of open / closed / new trade population.
- Coordinating timely and precise trade settlement with various settlement groups across the Bank.
