**The Client**
Our client is a young, fast-growth professional services firm specialising in working with high growth businesses.
They are now looking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic Financial Controller who will ensure all their day-to-day finance activities are being undertaken in a timely and competent manner.
The team works remotely, meaning that you can work wherever you like in the UK. However, they appreciate that for some, the ability to 'go to work’ outside of their home, at least some of the time, is really important, so they provide everyone with a budgetto spend on co-working space.

**The Role**
As Financial Controller, you will be an experienced hands-on accountant and have the commercial awareness to assist the company with its growth.
As Financial Controller, you will:
- Develop the finance team and manage the outsourced finance function;
- Review the monthly management accounts pack and provide insightful analysis;
- Produce and monitor forecasts and budgets;
- Monitor cash and prepare cash flow forecasts;
- Oversee the submission of VAT returns and payroll;
- Oversee client account management;
- Oversee the AP and AR processes;
- Prepare annual financial information to support the year end accounts and tax return;
- Ensure all statutory financial compliance requirements are met;
- Manage and support a Finance Assistant;
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects.
**The Successful Applicant**
Key attributes as Financial Controller include:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA);
- Hands-on with excellent attention to detail;
- Experience of line management;
- Strong Microsoft office skills;
- Knowledge of Xero is desirable;
- Experience of working in a professional services firm is desirable;
- Able to communicate complex financial information in a straightforward, jargon-free way.
