Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operating Department Practitioner to join our team. As an Operating Department Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in surgical procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

**Duties**:

- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate care during surgery
- Administer anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety
- Prepare and handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records

**Skills**:

- Excellent patient care skills, with a focus on providing compassionate and efficient care
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Eastleigh: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Experience**:

- Theatres: 1 year (required)
- ODP: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- HCPC (required)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
