Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce we are working with Cawingredients on a retained basis, due to their rapid growth they are looking to appoint a Facilities & Yard Operative.

**Responsibilities**:

- Unloading deliveries of returnable equipment whilst ensuring that equipment is unloaded and stored in a safe and timely manner.
- Checking deliveries of returnable equipment to ensure that documentation is present and correct, and manifests match physical deliveries.
- Assisting with site services and liaising with the Environmental Technician and/or Environmental Health Co-Ordinator to collect samples for the Water Treatment Plant.
- Assisting with the safe and controlled management of the hazardous waste area.
- Contacting waste removal contractors for collections and control documentation.
- Liaising with the Inventory Team in relation to deliveries and discrepancies.
- Ensuring that equipment is stored in a uniform and organised manner to enable efficient storage and in such a way as to facilitate stock-taking.
- Keeping external areas of the yard and other intake areas clean, tidy, and orderly at all times.
- Moving equipment to production areas in line with requirements.
- Sorting and moving damaged equipment to designated storage areas in preparation for return to suppliers.
- Sorting and moving waste streams.
- Loading and recording recycling consignments (including ingredient containers for return/recycling)
- Support the Goods Inward team and other yard personnel with pallet returns.
- Follow procedures and risk assessments, highlight non-compliance immediately and follow up on any corrective action.
- Report immediately to the most senior member of staff present on the premises when a hazard, fault, or defect becomes apparent.
- Follow COSHH (control of substances hazardous to health) regulations on the correct usage of all chemicals.
- Adopt a 'clean as you go’ policy, in which you and your team clean the work area and any equipment you have used when the task is completed.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold an FLT Licence.
- Ability to work unsupervised and often in a time pressured environment.
