We have most recently acquired Stride Gaming, which, together with our existing Digital business, forms Rank Interactive. We employ circa 8,000 people globally, with our UK office functions being located in Maidenhead (Head Office), Sheffield (Customer SolutionsHub), London (Digital) and a further office in Gibraltar, which is home to our existing Rank Digital function.

As the Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the workplace of the Rank Group and its subsidiary companies.

You will develop and implement the Rank H&S strategy, and lead and develop the Health and Safety team to ensure that all requirements under relevant H&S legislation are implemented across the group.

**_This is a field-based role with regular travel to our Head office in Maidenhead; once a week / once every two weeks. _**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Working proactively with Directors, Heads of Departments and other key stakeholders to establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement in health and safety.
- Concentrating on strategic issues and complex and high-risk cases, considering risks and determining solutions and initiatives.
- Engaging business leaders to advocate and demonstrate compliance with the appropriate health and safety policy and champion sustainable interventions.
- Ensuring robust incident reporting processes are in place and overseeing the investigation of any safety-critical incidents.
- Planning and management of the annual review of all health and safety policies and associated documents and that updated documents are communicated to the venues and support offices and team members.
- Providing updates on relevant legislation, regulation and best practice and advising upon developments which may impact the business.
- Management of the two Area Health and Safety Managers and the Safety Coordinator.
- Presenting to and attending the monthly Risk Committee, reporting on any high risks that are a concern (including in respect of asbestos) and that could affect the health and safety compliance of Mecca, Grosvenor and the support offices.

**Qualifications**
- Level 5/6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice essential.
- NEBOSH/NCRQ or NVQ in safety and health essential.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and its interpretation and good health and safety practices**.**:

- Strong people management experience, including competency in performance management and team leadership.
- Experience in influencing, managing and working with internal stakeholders and external third parties.
- Experience in introducing policies, procedures, processes and systems effectively; and enabling positive cultural change.
- Practical experience in managing complex health and safety risk assessments and evaluations.
- Exposure to aligning health and safety strategy and services with business strategy and needs.
