You will be working closely with the Infrastructure lead on the day to day support and management of our environment.

This is a new role and there is room for growth and development inline with business needs. You will be supported with expanding your knowledge and experience.

You will be the lead officer on the EPMA infrastructure within the Trust. It is a varied role which will become pivotal in the support and maintenance of a secure environment from which excellent patient care is driven.

You will need to be able to communicate clearly and translate technical jargon into plain English for non technical users and colleagues to understand.

To fulfil this role you need to be able and willing to keep up to date with current technical understanding and developments. Follow best practise and understand the importance and impact of any changes you make.

To provide IT innovation to meet all immediate needs and providing a platform to facilitate the goals and aspirations of CPFT. Act as part of the Digital Swarm, resolving escalated incidents, across multiple platforms often interfacing directly with 3rd party vendors and key stakeholders to ensure the full operability of systems and services used by staff.

Feasibility, cost advice; initiation and delivery of IT projects. Ensuring good governance and that ITIL based practices are adhered to throughout culminating in the required document sets being produced to support the Trust’s auditing and Information Governance compliance requirements.

Planning through fully understanding the developing needs of the Trust and ensuring a commensurate technical roadmap is adopted and any investment such as hardware, infrastructure and/or licensing is procured accurately and at the best price for the trust. Provide tactical solutions flexibly and cohesively adapting to the changing needs of the Trust providing innovative and dynamic solutions to meet emerging needs.

Supplying information and guidance particularly where Business Continuity recovery invocation is concerned. Additionally, configuring and maintaining the new private cloud hosting solution ensuring best possible Recovery Time/Recovery Point Objectives enabling ‘best of breed’ driven Service SLAs to be generated and committed to.

- Provide Engineer level technical input into the delivery of IT projects for Trust customers and stakeholders.
- Configuring and maintaining the new strategic private cloud hosting solution enabling cutting edge recovery solutions
- Interpret and analyse technical data to produce Technical/MI reports for the IT Management chain and relevant stakeholders supporting Trust security and vendor license compliancy and informing strategic investment and procurement
- Use skills and knowledge to establish and maintain required security policies and procedures thus ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of all Trust Systems and Data. Achieved via Anti-Virus provision, certification technologies and correct Logical Access models and including all aspects of physical security.
- Provide on-going maintenance for Information Systems ensuring that all relevant firmware, hotfixes and service packs are applied, and the systems remain robust and fit for purpose. Planning to ensure capacity and providing through lifecycle management ‘cradle to grave’ procurement, implementation, integration, maintenance, manage to obsolescence, securely decommissioning and recycling all associated physical and logical infrastructure.
- Plan, manage and implement change for both BAU and Project delivery purposes. Ensuring risk management is paramount and ITIL best practices are observed.
- Proactive monitoring and management of the CPFT infrastructure environment to ensure maximum uptime and essential security mechanisms are fully functional to guarantee the integrity of NHS data.
- Actively participate in the on-going technical development and documentation of IM&T processes and procedures in line with the trusts’ corporate policy, objectives, and goals.
- To be responsible for highlighting any major or developing risks to the Infrastructure Manager or during CAB attendance.
