**About the job**

Arla Foods Oswestry are looking for Production Operatives to join the team on a permanent basis. You will play a pivotal role in assisting with the efficient running of the packing lines in the production area within a cheese packaging site.

At our Arla Oswestry site we pack circa 79,000 tonnes or cheese annually, 1620 tonnes per week.

This includes supplying branded products like Castello, BOB and Arla Pro, along with private label to Waitrose, M&S, Asda and Aldi

**About the job**
- Operate production equipment
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed and records are maintained
- Effectively run Packing lines by using production IT systems
- Perform simple maintenance tasks
- Maintain strict Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards within the department
- Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems
- Reporting safety issues to maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings
- Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues

**What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role**
- Ambition & drive
- Previous experience working within a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience with food safety regulations and practices would be beneficial but not essential
- All training and support will be provided during your induction period
- A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative
- You’re as serious about quality as we are - and ready to work hard to achieve it
- A good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
