**Administration Assistant - FlexiBank**

We've got a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administration Assistant to join our friendly Outpatients team at One Ashford Hospital.

Reporting to the Outpatient Manager, the successful Administration Assistant will have opportunities to work with various teams in the hospital, supporting as and when required. Responsibilities will include:

- providing a high standard of customer service
- liaising with patients and key stakeholders to complete booking requirements
- ensuring our main reception duties and enquiries are handled professionally with a focus on delivering good customer service at all times
- providing administrative support to both the inpatient and outpatient teams, including managing the appointment system, ensuring that patient records and all relevant documentation are processed accurately & assisting with audits

**Shifts**: Typically your hours will be between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday; occasionally shifts may start earlier or finish later according to the needs of the business.

**Please note: this is a FlexiBank role working on an 'as and when required' basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of annual leave or absence.**

**Qualifications**
- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent qualification

**Experience**
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Previous administration experience in a business/healthcare sector environment.
- 2 years relevant experience within an administrative or customer service role, including dealing with patients

**Skills**
- Flexibility to respond to the needs of the department
- Excellent customer care skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and a good team player with a collaborative approach to achieving goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Sound computer skills and confidence in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Organisational skills
