Nursery Cleaner

**First Steps Nursery have a great opportunity for a cleaner to join our growing team on a part time basis.**

**Role**
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery clean and tidy, reporting any potential maintenance issues to the management team.
- Have proven experience in a similar role
- Able to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the setting at all times
- Be able to identify any needs/and or issues around the nursery

**Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve**:

- To clean all areas of the day nursery including toilets, kitchen, playrooms and staff areas
- To clean all surfaces of the day nursery including floors, paintwork, tiles and walls.
- Report any maintenance issues that prevent safe and efficient cleaning of these areas.
- To remove all waste and rubbish to the relevant position or bin.
- ensuring that shortages do not prevent cleaning.
- Ensure all high
- and low-level dusting is completed.
- To be committed to the safeguarding of all children

This is a key holder position so the cleaners will be expected to lock up after cleaning and keep nursery safe.

**Hours of work: 4:00-7:00pm Monday/Wednesday/Friday**

**Qualifications**
- Commercial cleaning experience
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week
