**Our vision for this role**
We’re looking for a highly motivated, solution focused and target driven Rents and Service Charge Support Officer, ideally with a background in Social Housing. You will be conscientious, organised and work independently and as part of a team.
You will be responsible for supporting the operational management and delivery of all Rent and Service Charge setting activities including, inbox management, updating customer details, preparing rent and service charges for rent properties, starting new tenancies, preparing new development schemes and supporting the Rent and service Charge Officers to deliver the rent and service charge setting and reconciliation annual projects. You will also work collaboratively with internal and external customer to resolve low level rent and service charge enquires.

You will have exposure to all aspect of rents and service charge setting and will contribute to the delivery our Service Charge Improvement project. You will be a practical thinker and doer, who can take the initiative, and turn ideas into practical solutions to drive improvement.
**What you’ll do**
This is a rewarding and exciting position - responsible for building relationships and trust both internally within your Origin team and externally with the community you serve.
At a glance you will:
**Take the lead**
- You will provide operational support for all rent and service charge setting activities.
- You will monitor and manage all Rent & Service Charge Team in boxes and correspondence.
- You will ensure that all Rent and Service Charge Team expenditure is verified, paid and coded accurately.
- You will be responsible for updating and maintaining resident and homeowner accounts
- You will prepare rent and service charges for all relets and starting new tenancy requests.
- You will support the processing of all service desk requests including; staircasing, adjustments, refunds and write off’s.
- You will provide administrative support to the Rent & Service Charge Officers
- You will support the review, development and implementation of Rent and Service Charge policies and procedures.
- You will contribute to the monitoring of scheme specific service charge budgets.

- You will support and contribute to all new process and system reviews, testing and implementation.
- You will support the development and maintenance of all new and existing policies and procedures.
**Bring people together**
- You will be the first line of support for two ‘Rents and Service Charge Officers’.
- You will provide support and advice to colleagues and customers in order to address and resolve low level Rent and Service Charge enquires.
- You will work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues across the business ensuring processes are fit for purpose and any issues are resolved.
- You will cross skill with the Utilities Management Support Officer to provide greater resilience within the team
