**Healthcare Assistant - Outpatients** We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatients Department. This role is based at The London Clinic Hospital in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a competitive salary range on offer of £26,885 -£30,705. The London Clinic's Outpatient Department consists of the Clinical rooms, Gynaecology suite, ENT suite and Consulting rooms and are based in houses in and around Harley Street. The London Clinic is the UK's largest independently owned non-profit hospital.We undertake highly complex procedures in addition to routine surgery and medicine. Consisting of over 250 patient beds and 12 operating theatres including dedicated endoscopy suites, a day surgery unit and a 24 hour consultant-led Intensive Care Unit. We combine the warmth of traditional patient care with unrivalled expertise and we aimto give the best complete patient experience. **Job Profile** As a Healthcare Assistant you will support with overall day to day operation of the clinical & consulting outpatient's rooms in multiple buildings ensuring overall care and safety to the patient, visitors and staff. - **Job Type**: This is a full time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. The shifts are Monday to Saturday as per rota. - **Shifts**: We operate a mixed shift pattern - Earlies / Lates and 1 in 2 Saturdays - **Benefits package**: - Contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%). - Private Medical Healthcare. - 33 day's annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays). - Season ticket travel loan, family friendly benefits, and a wide range of discounts with a variety of retailers/services, plus much more. - We also offer excellent career development; with clear career pathways and access to further education. **Key Duties** - Support the nursing team to deliver high quality patient centred care. - Act as a chaperone during patient examinations and assist Consultants of different specialities with specified procedures that may be performed in the outpatient setting, charging and writing notes for these on the Clinic computer system - Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients, recognising their individuality, and promoting privacy and dignity at all times - To assist in the smooth running of a variety of specified Consultant clinics working alongside reception and clinical staff or at times autonomously including ENT/Gynaecology/Dermatology - The post holder will be involved in administrative duties, this will include pre-registering, registering and charging patients. Entering stats daily into computer system, monitoring stock levels and assist in topping up and ordering through Meditech andactively taking part in audits, assisting with their implementation and delivery. **Skills & Experience** - NVQ in Care Level 3/4 or equivalent - Previous experience working in an outpatient area within a hospital. - To have orthopaedic, gynaecology, ENT background. - To hold a Care certificate or be working towards this. - Experience with Meditech would be greatly beneficial. - The London Clinic has a supportive and warm working culture where your contribution is valued, and you can help us provide the best, personalised healthcare, and deliver our three core values _ : "We go further", "We work as one" and "We personalise care." - We are an organisation that has charitable status and this helps us to drive forward our mission of reinvesting our income to deliver better patient outcomes._
