The Hospital:
The New Foscote Hospital has been successfully established in Banbury for over 40 years and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region during this time. We have over 50 consultants, all of whom are leaders in their specialist fields and choose to hold their private practices here, working alongside our friendly, highly qualified and experienced nursing and support teams.

Core Responsibilities:

- To ensure that housekeeping services throughout the hospital (primarily the Theatre) are of the highest possible standard and are within infection control guidelines and health & safety policies.
- To ensure high standards of service are maintained throughout the hospital.
- To ensure all housekeeping services have the highest possible impact on patients’ perception and experience of the hospital services
- To liaise closely with all other departments within the hospital
- The core working hours for this role is evenings on Monday to Friday but you will be expected to cover in days and weekends if required.

Main Duties and Key Accountabilities:

- Has courteous and professional relationship with all colleagues, patients and consultants
- To ensure Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to
- To ensure Infection Control guidelines are adhered to
- To regularly and consistently communicate to the Head Housekeeper key information such as stock levels, storage issues, bin levels and other day-to-day pertinent information
- To represent the department at the daily huddle as and when requested
- To maintain linen levels, ensuring adequate supply is available, tidy and ready for use
- To daily deep clean the theatres, changing rooms, private ward bedrooms and en-suites, oral surgery suite, and restrooms

In addition:

- Be accountable for own standards of work
- Respect and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Attend appropriate training sessions to improve standard of practice.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Adhere to the hospital policies, procedures and standards.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with all colleagues, visitors and consultants.
- Promote effective communication within all department areas.
- Support colleagues and work co-operatively to promote good team morale.
- Perform any other duties as required and deemed competent to do so.
- Actively work to maintain the standards set by The Care Quality Commission.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
Essential

Qualifications & Technical Skills
- To be fully conversant with all Microsoft Office software and be PC literate
- Ability to learn and use internal and external IT systems

Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience in a medical/clinical establishment
- A minimum of one year experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of all applicable health and safety standards

**Salary**: £18,500.00-£22,000.00 per year
