**Hermes Logistics Technologies Ltd (HLT)**

Hermes is a market leading, functionally rich real-time air Cargo Management System and Solutions Ecosystem for Cargo Ground Handlers, Airlines and Airports and is the main product [YB1] delivered by HLT. The Hermes system currently supports around 70 facilities globally with cargo volumes ranging between 20,000-1,900,000 metric tons per annum.

HLT is also developing a range of modern subsidiary products to compliment and externalise the core Hermes Cargo Management System and has partnered with other 3rd party ISPs to complement its offering.

**What We Need**:
We are looking for a committed and dynamic junior product specialist to join us on our journey to make our technology smarter and more adoptable for the market we serve. You will be a member of the product team, gathering requirements, suggesting solutions and supporting customers for our current products. You will also be working closely with our development and QC teams to understand and solve problems in a collaborative fashion.

**The Job Role**:
We are seeking a Junior Product Specialist to join our talented team of product specialists based in Bracknell, UK. This is to cover a period of maternity leave and is anticipated to be for a period of up to 12 months. You will be involved in all aspects of the software product life cycle from the requirements gathering phase through to quality control, delivery and support. HLT will provide full on the job training to include a deep focus on the product and processes.

**Purpose and Responsibilities**:
Ultimately, this role will evolve and involve working in (but not limited to) the following areas:
**Project Development (Process)**

Assist with customer liaison and business consultancy through on-site workshops, written and verbal presentations, Webex and/or teleconference, to help design and develop process changes and maintain customer confidence in said changes.

**Project Development (Software)**

Liaise with the development team to ensure that product development matches customer requirements and agreed business study detail. Assist the development team with end user interface design, logical techniques, software testing and system to system interface procedures.

**System Training**

Assist with design and production of bespoke training courses to fit customer needs inclusive of system configuration and maintenance, control of static data and full detail of available tools. Aid the implementation of training courses for international end-users to include video conferencing, classroom sessions, workshops, tutorials and other interactive tasks. Assist completion of full system user guides and other related training material.

**System Implementation**

‘Parallel Run’ and ‘Go Live’ support within 24/7 business environments to guarantee data quality, increase customer confidence, ensure process and system changeover efficiency. Main aims include ensuring smoothness of system and procedural integration.

**System Maintenance and Support**

Off-site and on-site support for customers as per agreed in their M&S contract. Duties to include tracking software bugs, controlling priorities to fix highlighted bugs, tracking customer change requests, version release testing and day-to-day support.

**Qualifications /Experience**
- Experience in a similar product specialist role preferred (Business Analysis, Support or QC role also relevant)
- An interest air cargo operations preferred but not essential
- A genuine interest in Learning & Development with a view to develop training skills

**Skills (Essential criteria)**
- Proficient with software packages such as MS O365 (Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams etc)
- Some understanding of Issue Management Tools (Zoho Service Desk, Jira, DevOps etc)
- Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills and excellent customer care
- Ability to travel (we have customers on all continents)
- Time management (able to manage competing demands).
- Keen interest in continuing professional development
- Team player, able to liaise comfortably with the business and technical teams plus customers of all cultures.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
