**Credit/Risk Manager**

**Mansfield**

**£27K-£32K**

Our client is a successful manufacturing company, specialising in the supply of catalytic converter systems to the automotive aftermarket throughout the UK and Europe.

**The role**:

- Day to day credit control including debt collection and new account opening procedures (e.g.: KYC, credit checks, etc.)
- Taking a commercial view whilst working within the confines of the credit insurance policy, invoice discounting / ABL facility.
- Triaging customer queries (e.g., PODs and shortages).
- Management and control of customer rebate agreements, processing of rebates.
- Management and control of consignment stock.
- Management and control of credit insurance policy.
- Oversight of Sales ledger as a whole / ID and ABL control including month end reporting to the bank.
- Keeping signed T&Cs up to date / customer contracts under control and up to date.
- Assisting the HoF with review of customer terms.
- Contributing to the work of the Finance Department in other ways as the HoF delegates from time to time (e.g.: involvement in statutory and bank audits, providing cover on other departmental work, etc.)

**Key skills/ experience**:

- A minimum of 2 years credit control experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge and experience of B2B risk issues, including: credit risk management involving handling a credit insurance policy / invoice discounting facility
- Mitigating fraud risk, credit risk and export risk
- Have sound analytical skills and strong Excel spread sheeting skills (e.g.: VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables, basic extraction of data from databases, 'if’ statements, ideally also 'index’ and 'match’)
- Be a confident communicator to deal with Directors in credit control meetings and have well-mannered customer facing skills, whilst at the same time being firm where necessary
- Knowledge of international trade including Incoterms, commodity codes etc.
- General accounting experience
- in particular sales ledger control.

40 hours per week

28 days holiday including statutory days.

The job is office based, but some flexible working can be considered.
