**Position Overview**: As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our café. You will be responsible for greeting and serving customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the café. A positive attitude, great communication skills, and a genuine love for hospitality are key to succeeding in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**: Provide exceptional service to every guest, offering a warm welcome and engaging in friendly conversation. Address any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- **Order Taking**: Accurately take and process orders for food and beverages, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted and fulfilled.
- **Cash Handling & POS Operation**: Handle cash, card transactions, and tips, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- **Food & Beverage Service**: Serve coffee, cakes, sandwiches and all food offerings with care and attention to detail. Ensure goods are made and presented to standard and served promptly.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**: Keep the front of house area clean and organised, including the seating area, counter, and restrooms. Perform daily cleaning tasks as required.
- **Teamwork**: Collaborate with kitchen and back-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and smooth operation of the café.
- **Stocking & Restocking**: Assist with inventory management, restocking front-of-house supplies (cups, napkins, utensils, etc.), and notifying the supervisor when items are low.
- **Health & Safety**: Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

**Key Requirements**:

- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a café environment is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and organised.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering a high standard of service.
- Must be a team player and willing to help out in various areas as needed.
- Flexibility to work across weekends and holidays as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
