We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated **carer** to join our team in **Carlisle**. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives by providing high-quality, person-centered care in their own homes or within a care setting.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Supporting with mobility and physical exercises
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding if required
- Administering or prompting medication (training provided)
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Escorting clients to appointments or social activities
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients’ health or well-being
- Ensuring care is delivered in a respectful, dignified, and safe manner
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential (full training provided)
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible and reliable approach to work
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS check required (will be arranged for successful applicant)
