**About the Role**

The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Council’s network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and efficiency. This role involves assisting with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network devices and services. The Network Administrator plays a key role in maintaining network performance, supporting end-users, and ensuring that the network infrastructure meets the operational needs of the Council.

**In this job you will**
- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the Council’s network infrastructure, ensuring network stability and performance.
- Support the configuration and deployment of network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Perform routine network administrative tasks, including updates, patch management, and backups, to ensure network security and reliability.
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing network-related issues and escalating more complex problems to the Network Officer or Engineer.
- Assist in the documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to the implementation of network security measures, including managing access controls and monitoring for security threats.
- Participate in the setup and maintenance of the Council’s wireless network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and security.
- Assist with the troubleshooting and resolution of basic network issues, working closely with the Network Officer and Network Engineer.
- Support the evaluation and integration of new network technologies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
