Deeside Care Home is looking to recruit a Senior Care Assistant (Dayshift)
Deeside Care Home is an impressive 68-bedroomed care facility that provides residents with exceptional standards of Residential Care, Dementia Care, Nursing Care and Respite Care, as well as Palliative Care. All personal care needs will be met in a supportive environment by a team of care experts supporting both those who can live independently and those with low-level care needs.
Situated in the tranquil suburbs of Cults in Aberdeen, Deeside Care Home in Aberdeenshire has been designed with our residents in mind and boasts a number of facilities such as a state-of-the-art Cinema Room and Library, and a new and improved Hairdressing Salon and Spa. It is important that our home at Deeside not only enables us to provide the personalised, around-the-clock care our residents deserve but also offers our residents a homely environment that they can call their own.
This role is for those who want to make a real difference and help support residents and staff to reach their potential. You will be a key team player and will put residents at the heart of everything that you do.
Senior Care Assistant Contract
- Up to £12 per hour (depending on experience)
- Contracted up to 44 hours per week
- Pension
- 5.6 weeks annual leave
- PVG paid
- Onsite parking
Senior Care Assistant Will Be
- **Qualified to SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.**
- **Experienced in Administering Medication**
- A caring and motivated person.
- Experienced supporting older people, ideally including those living with a dementia and trained in medication.
- Confident and experienced to lead a care team and act as champion for the wellbeing of residents.
- Able to prepare, review and understand a care plan
Your key responsibilities will include
- Providing excellent care and support to residents.
- Ensuring high standards are always maintained.
- Supervising, leading and motivating all care assistants in order for the team to function efficiently.
- Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs.
- Administering medication as instructed.
- Monitoring, responding, and reporting appropriately on the wellbeing of the residents and able to respond in a timely manner to any concerns.
- Supporting and working with care assistants.
- Maintaining good communication and developing effective working relationships with other team members.
