Cleanroom Supervisor

Operating at our state-of-the-art facility based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites forms part of Teledyne Aerospace and Defense Electronics UK. We focus on the manufacture and supply of carbon fibre components to the aerospace industry.

With year on year growth we are looking to recruit additional team members to work in our Cleanroom.

**Job Purpose**:
As the successful applicant you will be leading an established team in the the Cleanroom ensuring the correct lay-up of pre-impregnated glass/carbon into mould tools. Attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and procedures are essential. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Reporting to the Production Manager your key responsibilities will be to:
To support the manufacturing process within the Clean Room through supervising, supporting and developing staff, and organising and monitoring workflows. Quickly resolving any issues and problems so as to minimise their effect on the production process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To ensure a safe working environment at all times within the Clean Room and Autoclave areas. Any issues raised are dealt with immediately and reporting to the Production Manager and the H&S Advisor.
- To ensure daily cleaning, checks and autonomous maintenance are completed.
- Supervision and allocation of work (including jobs, tooling, raw materials, consumables & stock items) to employees within the department. Random audits to be held monthly to identify training requirements and possible improvements.
- To ensure work in the department is carried out within the allocated times, to the required standards. Create an understanding within the department to make the job as efficient as possible while achieving quality standards. Working with operators to consistently achieve agreed times, and reduce them further where possible.
- Training and development of all staff within the department.
- Resolution of manufacturing problems within the area in conjunction with Engineering, and other departments as required.
- Stock control of consumables and raw materials in the department
- Manufacturing of products within the department, and other production duties as required
- To ensure all parts produced in the Clean Room meet the required drawings and customer specifications. Ensure all staff within the department comply with Company Works Procedures

**Qualifications**:**Experience**
- Experience in Clean Room Environments Desirable
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Desirable
- Experience in a Composites Engineering Facility Desirable

**Qualifications**
- NVQ Level 3 in Management Desirable
