Midlands Protection Services (MPS) Limited is currently recruiting for a Night Security Officer in Coventry

**Job purpose**:
To provide security and support duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client requirements and Midlands Protection's policies and procedures.

**Duties include**:

- To provide and deliver a first-class customer service to all Visitors, Site employees and contractors.
- Patrolling on site (Internal & External on foot)
- Ensure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to
- Must be able to deal with confrontational situations professionally and be able to calm a situation down where possible.
- You will be required to conduct patrols in all-weather, making sure that all defects are reported through the correct channels.
- Timely and accurate completion of log entries and reports
- To undertake mandatory and statutory training as required.
- To comply with all relevant policies, procedures and guidelines, including those relating to Equal Opportunities and Confidentiality of Information.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Must hold a valid SIA Frontline License.
- Excellent communication & administration skills.
- Must be punctual and have the ability to think on their feet.
- Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
- Smart, well-groomed and confident.

**Event Security Officers & Door Supervisors Required**

**Important, please note**:
All applicants will be screened in accordance with BS7858 standards. Security screening is a requirement of the post and applicants must provide a full checkable 5-year work/ school history. You must also hold a valid SIA licence.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Night shift
