Cherry professional are excited to be working with a growing **Derbyshire** based client who are seeking a new **management accountant** to bed into their close-knit finance function.
In addition to an expansive role that includes exposure to all aspects of **management accounting**, long term progression is also very obtainable with scope for the successful applicant to develop into a **Financial Controller** in 3 year time.
The successful applicant will be able to report into an experienced **Financial Controller** whilst also receiving assistance from an **assistant accountant** and a clerical finance support team.
JOB ROLE**:Management Accountant.**
LOCATION**:Derbyshire.**
SALARY + PACKAGE: Up to £35,000 + Study Support + 1 day WFH + 5% Pension contribution.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production of the **monthly management accounts.**:
- Performance analysis including discussion with internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the **Assistant Accountant** with **month end.**:
- Assist the delivery of systems improvement projects.
- Maintenance of **fixed assets** including depreciation, additions and disposals.**:
- Balance sheet reconciliations.**:
- Quarterly **VAT**_Please note that you are not expected to have prior experience with all the above tasks. However, it is crucial that you are:
- A **Part
- Qualified accountant** who is studying towards **CIMA/ACCA/ACA.**:
- Someone with previous experience in producing **monthly management accounts.**:
- Someone with a passion for SME companies and being part of an inclusive team.
- A strong user of Excel and experienced with a form of accountancy software.
