**Salary**: £55-60k per annum DOE plus generous company benefits

This is an exciting position for an individual with proven experience, and perhaps, more importantly, an innate and genuine desire to make positive environmental changes. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the board and operational teams, you will support us in delivering our sustainability roadmap. This is a pivotal role for us, and the businesses we support, and for you a role that you can help shape and work to make a real impact.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Identification of priority areas, developing a detailed carbon reduction roadmap
- Assisting teams with the formation of action plans
- Establish a project tracking approach to ensure timely delivery of agreed actions
- Recommend and embed best practice across Oxygen House Limited and wider group activity
- Establish a culture of innovation in sustainability
- Maintain and develop any applicable sustainability framework and policies to support the strategy and roadmap
- External sustainability reporting and affiliations/partnerships
- Provide input to board and company meetings
- Manage aspects of the sustainability budget, as applicable, and contribute to annual discussion on sustainability targets
- Support the People Team in developing recruitment, onboarding, ongoing training, and education in the broad topic of sustainability and ESG
- Ensure that there is an established mechanism for monitoring relevant regulatory and policy changes that affect our business
- Be a brand ambassador through supporting both internal and external communications relating to sustainability; representing Oxygen House through participation in external networking forums and events
- Supporting with group-wide B Corp certifications
- Develop tools to embed proactive decision making to reduce carbon in all areas of our business
- Horizon scanning and research for innovation and change ideas.

**ABOUT YOU**

You are an advocate for sustainability with authority and credibility as a thought leader. Building relationships and motivating a wide audience across a group comes naturally to you.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Proven experience of working within an established sustainability team as part of the development and delivery of transformational change/ running sustainability agendas
- In depth knowledge of key technical aspects of sustainability, e.g., footprinting, biodiversity, climate change, social investment, reporting and metrics
- Can work effectively and network within a diverse and complex operational business structure
- Self-motivated, self-starter with a can-do attitude and an expectation and desire to work hard
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to take on extra responsibilities as and when required
- Innovative and forward thinking
- Resilient, unflappable, and confident
- A team player who can demonstrate initiative as well as being happy to take direction
- Able to manage own workload with mínimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure and juggle several tasks simultaneously whilst still meeting deadlines
- High levels of integrity, accountability and openness
- Computer literate with good PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
