Assistant Finance Business Partner

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Business Partner to provide support and assistance in the production of monthly and year-end management accounts, annual budgets and rolling forecasts during the year for Production/Show related areas of the RSC.
The RSC Finance team ensures that the RSC is always looking to the future by preparing budgets and forecasting for all our departments, from Costume to Catering.
This role provides an opportunity to learn and develop new skills, working in a varied and interesting finance setting. You will be closely supported by our Finance Business Partners to understand processes and your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial statements
- Providing financial support and advice to budget holders and their teams
- Preparation of income and expenditure and overhead analysis for show related activity
- Assisting budget holders with the completion of department annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Preparing and entering monthly journal entries
- Preparing, reconciling, and clearing balance sheet control accounts
- Assisting in completing year end tasks and reporting
Ideally you will have some experience working in a management accounts role and you should also:
- Be AAT qualified
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills
- Have good computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Be flexible and adaptable to new ways of working
- Be proactive and able to learn quickly
- Have excellent communication and teamworking skills
The RSC supports flexible working and anticipate that this role will work to a hybrid model, depending on work activity. The role is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an expectation of working additional hours to fulfil the requirements of the role when required.
