**Fantastic Opportunity - Full Time Receptionist**
Aldwark Manor Estate is recruiting for a full Receptionist.
Located just outside of York, this privately owned hotel is looking for a Receptionist to join this superb team as they embark on an exciting journey following complete refurbishment.
**Here’s a bit about the role -**
Reception act as the first point of contact between guests and an organisation. They are tasked with answering guest inquiries, directing phone calls,
coordinating travel plans, and more. They must always uphold company culture while making guests feel welcomed and valued. Here are just some of the responsibilities are outlined below.
- Supporting the smooth running of the front office department, where all aspects of the guest journey and experience are delivered to the highest level.
- Works as part of a team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries and problem resolution.
- Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborates with their immediate report, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships whilst promoting the company culture and values.
**Job Description (non exhaustive) -**
- Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
- Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcome and attended to.
- Receive and redirect mail, phone calls, packages, etc
- Answer phones take message from potential guests in a timely and pleasant manner.
- Show round the areas of the hotel and a bit of history of the hotel to the guests.
- Offer restaurant and activity recommendations and assist guests in arranging transportation and excursions.
- Ensure that guest spaces and lobby are clean and tidy at all times.
- Act as a liaison between guests and any department necessary including the kitchen, housekeeping, etc
- Anticipate guests needs to accommodate them and provide an exceptional guest experience.
**Requirements for the role of Receptionist -**
- Smart appearance and friendly manner
- High level communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Mature approach to customer service and safety/security issues
- Maintains a good energy level
- Self-motivated
- Punctual
- Live in available - transport would be required due to the Location
- 40 hours per week
