Provide signposting, information and advice for local people. Maintain and update systems utilised across the organisation.
Work in team across the organisation (e.g. answering telephones, dealing with general enquiries and
visitors to the office)
Facilitate and promote events and other functions.
Write, review and prepare reports for publication in formats appropriate to contracts.
Work with the team to make sure there is appropriate social media and web content to support the contract and celebrate its impact. This includes creating newsletters.
Arrange and lead volunteers in conducting activities such as visits of health and social care premises and
analysis the findings.
Ensure protocols and procedures are adhered to in accordance to projects.
Support and mentor volunteers, work experience, university students.
Lead on projects from inception to completion. Coordinating with the rest of team and completing all
internal and external reporting requirements.
Attend meetings and represent the organisation as required.
Support with Healthwatch board development.
Prepare papers for meetings, and ensure timely distribution to participants.
Keep up to date with current trends nationally and locally in health policy, service provision, current practice and matters concerning people as citizens, by reading, attending courses, networking, etc Other duties and responsibilities.
To actively contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation.
To look for opportunities to engage with sections of the community whose voices are rarely heard.
To keep an accessible and reliable filing system: storing all records relating to the role.
To maintain confidentiality at all times.
To attend staff meetings, supervisions, training sessions and appraisal as required in order to fulfill the role.
To disseminate information and learning as appropriate and in line with the communications strategy.
The post holder is expected to use their own initiative and as part of the team, be proactive, and have the ability to organize their own workload.
