We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic individual to work in our General Surgery Clinical Admin Unit based across both our Hospitals, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to gain experience in booking patients for surgery, outpatient appointments and dealing with patient queries as part of a busy department based in a large Acute Hospital Trust.
The Surgery Directorate is a key Department within the Trust in ensuring we provide a high quality and timely service to our patients. You will be working closely with other team members, medical secretaries, clinicians and the management team in order to maximise theatre and outpatient activity within the division.
You will need to have excellent customer care skills we will provide training for you to gain a thorough understanding of the Trusts access policy and the national 18 week RTT pathway which will provide an excellent basis for building a career working in both Acute and Community services in the NHS. The job role is very heavily telephone based as you will be speaking to patients and other departments to facilitate Operation dates.
Previous Healthcare administration experience would be advantageous but is not essential as would experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. We can offer you a supportive, friendly working environment where you will gain experience of hospital administration in a busy department.
