Interim Operations and Supply Chain Director - (Interim: £550 - £650 p/d OR Permanent: 90k - 100k + Package)

We are supporting a FTSE 250 organisation on their search for an Operations and Supply Chain Director. This opportunity allows hybrid working, and is available on both an interim and permanent basis. On an interim basis the role is paying £550-£650 p/d (InsideIR35, initial 6-12 month contract), and on a permanent basis they are paying 90k-£100k + Package.

Our client is looking for an experienced Operations Director to lead the operational functions for a key part of the business in Production, Supply Chain / Logistics, Business Planning & Compliance. This individual will also be responsible for the Health& Safety, Environmental and Facilities for the footprint globally. You will ensure that production, delivery and service requirements are met in a timely, cost effective and compliant manner in line with budget, statutory requirements and strategic plan.

This individual will supervise the production, supply chain, compliance and planning teams and will collaborate with company executives to develop strategic plans for business growth based on short-term and long-term goals, communicate those goals to yourteam, and guide them to success.

Experience required
- Relevant experience of lean manufacturing tools
- Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures
- An operational, supply chain or planning background is essential
- Experience leading large teams
- Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements
- Experience in operational management experience in a design / development and manufacturing environment
- Must be able to pass SC & DV screening
- Ideally a background working within Defence, Manufacturing, Engineering or FMCG organisations
