**Purpose of the role**

We are looking for a Senior Strategist servicing a global client
**(Japan Tobacco International) **and their local markets.
At Indicia we will be providing strategic and digital leadership on how each of the market operates from both a B2B and B2C environment and sharing best practice to help improve their overall digital maturity score over the next 12 months. Establishing a new digital operating model for JTI & local markets.

As part of the global roleout, JTI are looking to develop and launch a DTC loyalty/subscription programme (club) that can be taken up by the local markets as the product is launched. The UK will be the first market to launch the programme and it is anticipated that this will set the standard and blueprint for other markets to adopt.

We are looking for a Senior Strategist with experience in loyalty and subscription programmes with an eCRM delivery and this role will be seconded full time to the UK JTI office (London) to work within the Loyalty club team to help shape and ultimately deliver the Ploom X Loyalty Club in the UK. The role is temp to perm, initially for 6-9 months with a view to going permanent.

**Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure**
- A proven track record of leading on the strategy of DTC loyalty/subscription programmes for leading brands (tobacco experience is beneficial but not mandatory) on either agency or client side.
- Deep experience in directing the activation of data and insight to deliver effective strategy, campaigns and communications through the marketing funnel
- Creative, strategic and innovative thinker
- Proven ability to build and nurture client relationships
- Highly skilled at using customer insight to deliver ground-breaking, award-winning loyalty strategies
- Inspired by all things direct, data and digital - with excellent attention to detail
- Collaborative and confident - can work as part of many and varied teams
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills

**The mindset to navigate the role**
- You are someone who loves the craft of planning - getting to grips with consumers, culture and contextual influences on business. You have a deep knowledge of human behaviour and a keen interest in culture and social trends, with an ability to turn data and your own research into simple insights that inform your recommendations for the strategic direction of client work.
- Ideally your experience means will be comfortable with recommending how data informs Loyalty focussed contact strategies, campaigns and creativity. Your recommendations are always driven by deep strategic and commercial acumen and customer understanding. JTI will rely on you to help them navigate Loyalty/subscription complexity and consumer data to drive results - they want an individual that can show them what good looks like.
