I am currently looking for a Caretaker for my client at a School in Calderdale - HX6

**Hours**: (37.5 HOURS MINIMUM A WEEK - WEEKDAYS ONLY) (6:30AM - 2:30PM)

**Rate**: £9.79 per hour PAYE, rate negotiable.

**Duties include**:

- General school maintenance for buildings and surrounding grounds - basic handyman skills are a must
- Checking the conditions of the buildings and playgrounds and reporting any faults
- Conducting fire safety and H&S checks for the site
- Check the heating is operating and that timers are set correctly and working
- Event set up and take down
- To Promote a safe working environment for pupils and staff
- Opening and closing of the school

Job Overview Deliver excellent service standards for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements. To undertake successfully all training required to deliver the caretaking role. To work within a team but also can work under their own initiative. Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order. To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie. To be responsible for proper maintenance, cleaning, security and safety within the school premises and grounds. To undertake the cleaning of slippery floors, spillage's, bodily fluids, and other emergency cleaning. To ensure access is provided for contractors and the contractors are always escorted if relevant DBS clearance is not available. To keep internal and grounds areas free from litter. Empty external / internal bin. Set-up rooms for the use of Examinations / school functions etc and return to usual lay out following the function. Cover out of hours usage of the building on a rota system.
