**The Role**
As Third in Charge, you will work alongside the management team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and provide day-to-day leadership across the setting. You will support practitioners, champion best practice, and help maintain an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support and lead staff to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Deliver high standards of care and education in line with EYFS requirements
- Take the lead within a room, supervising daily activities and mentoring practitioners
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and the wider team to foster strong partnerships
- Monitor, review, and enhance childcare practices to ensure continuous improvement
- Assist in team development through goal-setting, feedback, and professional support
- Contribute to nursery operations, including budget management and resource planning
- Step into management duties when required, ensuring continuity and quality standards are maintained

**What We Are Looking For**:

- A Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education (essential)
- Previous experience in an early years setting, with some leadership responsibility (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to nurturing every child’s potential
