**Overview**
To support the Finance Supervisor and team, to provide an efficient end to end Accounts Payable service to Paradigm Trust.

**Apprenticeship Summary**
- Monday to Friday (shifts to be confirmed
- Full Time, all year round
- Wage: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage - £4.81 per hour, it does increase to the NMW for your age after the first 12 months.
- Expected duration: 17 months

**Responsibilities**:

- to assist in the processing, matching and coding of purchase invoices.
- to assist in the preparation of payment runs.
- to assist with processing staff expenses.
- to assist with processing purchase orders.
- to assist with dealing with supplier queries.
- to assist with the reconciling of supplier accounts.
- to assist in raising sales invoices as necessary.
- to assist with bank reconciliations (as required).

**Required skills and experience**
- Experience of working in a Finance environment
Experience of Accounts Payable
Knowledge of education sector (Desirable)
- Good knowledge and understanding of purchase ledger
Good knowledge and understanding of sales ledger
Knowledge of Google suite or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to ensure the
needs of the pupils are met appropriately.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to develop positive working relationships
- Approachable
Accurate and diligent work
Passion for learning and development
Able to exercise judgement and refer matters as necessary

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**

The apprenticeship training will take place in house while you are at the workplace. We book 1 session a week with your allocated tutor. This will be on a platform called Smart Assessor. Here your tutor will go through the modules and units of your course.

We also have 6-8 weeks monthly review plans, this will be with yourself, line manager and tutor.

The training you will be undertaking is **Accounts Assistant Level 2.**

Possible full-time role on completion of the apprenticeship.
