**Job description; Temporary Christmas Staff**

**The Role**:
**These are temporary fixed term positions starting early October until late December 2025 at our Inverurie site, working Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 6am - 2pm**

This role involves working across all areas of butchery to ensure that the final products meet the quality and specifications required by Donald Russell and its customers.. This will involve working in a chilled environment, for which appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.

Due to the location and start time, you must be able to reliably commute to Inverurie. Overtime may be expected, which will involve afternoon/weekend working.

**The Duties**:

- On a daily basis, preparation of meat products (primal portion control) against customer and Donald Russell specifications and standards.
- Operation of any machinery used during the butchery process (full training will be provided).
- Maintain quality and hygiene standards and ensure all personal equipment and tools relevant to the role are cleaned and kept in good condition as required.
- Adhere to product specifications and standards to meet predetermined KPI’s.
- Adhere to traceability procedures.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you should have
- Previous butchery skills within a meat production environment essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of meat products and knife skills.
- Ability to understand and adhere to food safety, health and safety and allergen standards.
- Ability to understand specification sheets, work to set and agreed line standards.
- A desire to produce excellent work, both individually and as part of a highly motivated team.
