As Head of Compliance you will effectively manage the planning, operations, and reporting of the Compliance team, focusing on FCA Regulatory Compliance and Data Protection compliance. Leading all employees to align compliance strategies with our culture and our business objectives which will drive forward improvements in engagement and always enable the best possible advice and customer outcomes.

The role will take full responsibility for ensuring that we always remains compliant through ongoing monitoring, understanding and interpretation of regulation and leading the compliance function

**Location**: Head office - Milton Keynes (2 days a week) & Remote

**Head of Compliance - Responsibilities**
- Responsible for leading and managing the Compliance, and Data Protection team, including the development of and incorporating Regulatory Compliance, and Data Protection laws. Also supports all other business functions; reviewing FCA regulations and ensuring day-to-day operations units are functioning within guidelines and legal requirements. Implement and monitor effective systems and controls to mitigate risk and Produce Business/Regulatory plans and reports.
- The role will be accountable for SMF 16 responsibilities under the SMCR regime
- This role is a key contact and adviser on compliance related issues for Chiefs, Heads of departments, Leaders within the business, Appointed Representatives and for relationships with partners and third parties. Senior escalation point of contact with regulators and within the business for any questions and issues relating to Regulatory Compliance and Data Protection Law.
- Ensures consistent leadership, planning and organisation of the team and monitors this to ensure that the team is effective in meeting the needs of the business. They are required to contribute to the development of annual objectives and strategies and take accountability for the tactical planning, outputs and reporting the activities of the team, as well as managing team and leading departmental meetings.
- Monitor regulatory change and brief and recommend next steps and actions as well as understanding the opportunities or risks for the business

**Head of Compliance - Skills**
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of specialist area of compliance is key. An everchanging world which needs heaps of personal responsibility to keep up to date with personally, as well as effecting change across the business
- Experience in providing advice to the business on a range of issues and planning and executing compliance monitoring reviews, including the identification and reporting of issues.
- Strong communicating and influencing skills to change behaviour and mitigate risk
- Regulatory knowledge
- Data protection law
- Understanding of risk management
