**Job description**

We are a very well established and successful fabrication company specialising in medium/heavy fabrications, established for over 45 years and accredited to ISO9001, BS EN 1090-2 Exc 3 and BS EN3834-2.

Due to continued growth and a very healthy order book, we are currently looking for experienced plater/welders to join our team on a permanent basis.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment. Ie Bridges, staircases, gantries. (Road & Rail)
- Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
- Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
- Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
- Welding to a high quality.
- Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
- Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed**:
Confident plater or fabricator
Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications
Confident MIG Welder
Experience operating fabrication machinery
Must have worked within a heavy steel industry
Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch.

**Working Hours**

Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm (4 day working week)

Overtime Rate Time/Half

Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
