Specialist Support Worker

**Would you like to support a young person with complex needs to have access to, and achieve within, the teaching and learning environment?**
**This exciting role will include**:
- providing one to one support to a student who has complex needs, including learning difficulties (Autism) and medical needs (Epilepsy). Support will need to be provided from hand over in the morning and during lessons and breaktimes
- facilitating and assisting the student in the classroom and other learning environments and in safely navigating around the college environment through close support and supervision including physical assistance via use of handling belt
- supporting the student with personal care needs as required to encourage independence and confidence to participate in all elements of their study programme
**If you can demonstrate the following, then we’d love to hear from you**:
- Autism and Epilepsy awareness as well as an understanding of range of SEND
**Closing date: 19th October 2025 with interviews shortly after.**
**College location: Lewes**
**Annual salary: circa £11,808 per annum (FTE salary £24,681 per annum).**
**Hours: Part time, 22 hours per week, term-time only, 36 weeks per year, permanent contract.**
