**About the Role**
- Oversee, manage and forward plan the day-to-day operations of a department of 20 +, ensuring maximum efficiency is obtained
- Carry out and support the appraisal and PPP process to encourage employee development
- Monitor team performance to ensure company targets (KPI’s) and objectives are achieved
- Create, implement and standardise (best practice) improvement processes, supporting efficiencies and the importance of a right-first-time standard
- Conduct return to works with team members and new starter probationary reviews
- Act as the first point of contact regarding sales enquiries, supporting with any technical information
- Work with Quality Assurance in assistance to any investigation regarding department non-conformance
- Ensure all safety and training documentation is completed following the QHSE guidelines
- Evaluate, implement and facilitate staff training requirements
- Assist in the preparation of a yearly business plan for the department
**About You**
- Must have proven experience managing a large team in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Must be confident, assertive and have the ability to build solid working relationships
- Must have excellent communication skills, displaying a positive mindset at all times
- Lead and motivate a team
- Leadership or LEAN manufacturing qualification (ILM, Six Sigma) would be highly advantageous, however not essential
