**About the Role**

We are investing in our Nursing/Care leadership and delivery, and this post is one of three lead roles joining our dedicated Senior Care Leadership Team who are passionate about making a difference to the difference to the lives of the children and families we support.

In this role you will be a dynamic visible service leader for Children & Families across Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) including the accountability / responsibility as the Named Lead for Safeguarding (Adults & Children) and Transition lead. You will be responsible for the embedding, delivery, and assurance reporting of all regulatory, quality and business requirements in relation to this and the Children and Family Portfolio.

The Lead for Children & Families is responsible for ensuring the service is well led, accessible and reaches as many children and families as possible. Alongside being the CHSW care lead for Safeguarding and Transition this role has a key responsibility for ensuring that the service is accessible and engages / hears the voice of Children & Families. This includes ensuring the frameworks for listening to and supporting children & families with additional needs (sensory, behavioural, social, or complex clinical needs) is in place across the service.

**About You**

You will be educated to degree level and will hold a relevant professional qualification and registration e.g. social worker, nurse, psychologist. You will have extensive post qualification experience in a leadership role, working with children or adults with a life limiting/threatening con working with children/adults with a life limiting / life threatening condition chronic illness or disability in a variety of settings; acute, community.

We are looking for someone who understands the role of a hospice and shares the core values and behaviours of the organisation, an approachable confident leader who ensures quality is accessible and achievable for everyone. The post holder must be able to work independently and also collaboratively with a wide range of care and medical staff and managers at all levels. The ability to work with IT and technology is essential.

This post can be based at any of our Hospice locations and to ensure visibility and support, will also be required to travel to all three hospices.
