**The Opportunity**:
National services business is looking to expand its Information Security capabilities by recruiting an Information Security Analyst, who will have the opportunity to undertake a broad and varied role in what is an exceptional opportunity to develop their careerin the field.
**The Role**:
The holder of the role will be responsible for Information Security governance, risk and compliance activities. You will be involved in all aspects of Information Security, providing security governance on projects, testing security controls, risk managementprocesses and working in partnership with the wider teams and stakeholders. An ability to develop, document and disseminate policies and procedures through training and written communication is essential. A meticulous and tenacious approach to enforcementof Information Security will also be required.
- Assist in the development of all IT and Information Security processes and procedures
- Assist with internal and external security audits
- Knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies.
- Assist in maintaining the IT Risk Register, ensuring that all information security risks are documented and put in place mitigation plans to address these risks.
- Monitor security alerts in order to identify and prevent potential cyber security incidents (SIEM, IPS, AV).
- Assist with internal Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests and working with the IT Operations and Development teams to remediate issues identified.
- Advise and assist in security Incidents, maintaining a log of activity, proactively communicating progress and ensuring that any customer or personal data loss is minimised. Where there is a risk with customer / personal data ensuring that agreed communicationpolicies are adhered to.
- Maintain an awareness of all associated regulation and legislation.
- Sit on the Change Advisory Board (CAB) when required and will need to challenge any changes that may have an adverse impact on the Security of the company infrastructure.
- Understanding of industry legislation, security frameworks (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST, PCI DSS), data protection and regulatory compliance. Stay abreast of development of Information Security technologies and services and advise on the implementationof these within the business.

**Requirements**:
With at least 2 years within information security, working on technical and/or compliance solutions, you will possess broad technical IT experience and have the ability to develop, document and disseminate policies and procedures through training. With strongwritten communication skills, you will also have a meticulous and tenacious approach to enforcement of Information Security.
