The Estates Department is responsible for the management of all aspects of the University’s buildings and estate, ranging from the planning and implementation of large scale new build projects to the delivery of maintenance, campus management and domestic services. As a member of the Domestic Services Team, the Domestic Assistant will be based at our Hope Park campus but may be required to work across all University sites. Typical working hours will be 7.00 am to 11.00am, Monday to Friday.

To be part of a team of Domestic Services Assistants performing a high standard of general domestic cleaning Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- To ensure all high touch areas across the campus are sanitised routinely.
- To replenish various dispensers, e.g. paper towels, soap, toilet rolls etc.
- To undertake general cleaning duties, including floors, sanitary areas, kitchen areas, paintwork, and other hard surfaces.
- To undertake general cleaning duties such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, scrubbing and buffing.
- To undertake cleaning of furniture, fitments, appliances and equipment.
- To ensure all bins and containers are emptied daily and cleaned where necessary, and that correct liners/bin bags are provided and that all refuse is placed in the appropriate place for collection.
- To clean internal glass.
- To ensure breakages are reported to Domestic Team Leader
- To undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade which may be required from time to time.
- Adhere to all University and Domestic Services Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Work flexibly when required including some weekends.
- Any other duties relevant to the roles. Work Performed (relating to key tasks)
