As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will be working with an experienced team and in aculture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

??As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA ?your day will be varied and interesting where you will be supporting teachers by assisting in the classrooms or out in the community, whilst following a flexible structure and supporting children and young peopleto unlock their passion for learning.

The school is an alternative education provision, which works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings. The school offers education on an outreach basis or within one of their Ofsted registered a school.

As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will be working within a Trauma informed practice model where you can support and ?follow a therapeutic practice.

**THE TEAM**

The school is a small, intimate, calm, and well-organised learning environment that creates a safe nurturing atmosphere in which pupils can learn, work and play. It is the education arm of a tripod integrated service, which includes residential, clinicaland education.

They are based in Orpington, South East London and their children are aged between 8-17 with SEMH needs. The school provides a broad-based curriculum that supports the growth and development of the whole child.

The school is a warm and welcoming one, with a small team of vibrant, energetic, and happy staff who are passionate about delivering good quality education in a bespoke, therapeutic, and trauma-informed manner to the children.

**WORKING HOURS**

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA your working hours will be:

- Term Time, this goes in line with the local authority
- Full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30am -16:30pm
- The role is full time over 5 days per week, however if you would like the opportunity for part time or compressed hours, the schoool would be happy to speak to you about this.

**Requirements ?**

As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Good written and IT skills
- Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers
- Able to actively listen to others
- NQTS or QTS registration
- Valid Driving Licence - this is essential for this role
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
