Purpose of Role:
The OT Governance & Compliance Supervisor is a key role within the OT & Telecoms function, responsible for managing compliance with the company and regulatory standards and procedures across the Operational Technology environment. The role is responsible forensuring OT risks are identified and managed appropriately, and will work with the OT & Telecoms Manager to develop and implement an assurance programme aligned with regulatory requirements.

The Operational Technology (OT) Governance & Compliance Supervisor is responsible for managing compliance with the company and regulatory standards and procedures across the OT environments.
The OT Governance & Compliance Supervisor shall be responsible for ensuring that the associated standards, process, and relevant documentation is maintained and updated, that risks within the environments are identified, recorded, and managed, and exceptions,deviations or dispensations are documented and remediated in a timely manner
The role will work with the OT & Telecoms Manager to develop and implement an assurance programme aligned to regulatory requirements, including cyber security management systems, system inventories and topologies and audit and external assessments as appropriate.

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
Works with the OT & Telecoms Manager and supply chain to support IS operations sourcing strategy and partner relationship management
Responsible for the development and execution of OT security, audit and compliance strategy, and roadmaps
Supports the OT & Telecoms Manager with the development of the annual IS Operations budget
Works with OT & Telecoms Manager to develop workforce plans that ensure IS Operations can supply skilled resources to meet current and future demand across the function
Provides relevant governance and compliance input into strategic direction for the full life cycle of design, development, operation, and support of OT systems
Adheres to regulatory requirements in technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics
Responsible for assuring the development and maintenance of asset inventories within the OT ecosystems
Follows the formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by OT operations teams
Ensures the delivery of OT services are consistent with IS Security and regulatory requirements
Develops staff through coaching, training, mentoring and performance management
Responsible for development and delivery of cyber security monitoring and compliance tools and practices to support secure operations within the Operational Technology environment in alignment with regulatory and company standards
Responsible for ensuring IS operational capabilities achieve regulatory and statutory compliance requirements
May be required to provide out of hours support via an on-call rota.

Critical Skills, Qualifications Experience, etc:
Experience of managing a team, with the ability to communicate the OT governance and compliance objectives and motivate staff
Experience of security logging, monitoring, and compliance toolsets and how they are deployed within an operational environment
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills
Strong industry and domain specific knowledge of the operational technology systems and consumers of the service within the business
Experience of developing and implementing process improvements
Self-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals
Experience of delivering governance practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plans
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to the IS workforce and the business
Proven track record and experience of working with OT services for production oil and gas environments with a significant understanding of HSES and Asset Integrity practices, including managing and impacting change to these environments
Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
Experience and involvement in internal or external audits in accordance with relevant regulatory standards
Desirable - Experience of working in offshore and live plant environments
Demonstrated knowledge of Safety Critical System architecture principles, industry best practice and operating secure systems and processes.
