The Environmental and Sustainability office will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and ensuring that all legal compliance requirements are fulfilled. You will drive environmental and sustainability improvements across the organisation and implement necessary changes to meet the company’s Net Zero goals and those of their customers.

As the Environmental and Sustainability Officer, your main duties will include ensuring safety in all activities, maintaining and developing the ISO 14001 management system, and legal compliance requirements. You will define and introduce environmental sustainability improvements in all areas of the business, set and implement environmental and sustainability targets, and work with colleagues to foster a culture of environmental responsibility. Your role will also involve liaising with external contractors, agencies, and local authorities, planning and organising internal environmental audits, and providing training and education on environmental and sustainability practices to all departments and EHS representatives. Additionally, you will manage the day-to-day duties of the EHS representatives, support Net Zero working groups to achieve the company’s GHG reduction targets, report annually on sustainability performance, and operate the company’s global EHS portal (with training provided).

The Environmental and Sustainability officer:
*Maintain and develop the ISO14001 management system.

*Introduce environmental sustainability improvements

*Planning and organising internal environmental audits

*Manage the day-to-day duties of the EHS representatives

*Report annually on sustainability performance

The Person:
*Experience in a production/manufacturing environment

*Will hold Environmental and/or Sustainability qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Environmental Certificate)

*Experience in calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emission data and initiating carbon reduction actions.

*Ability to work with internal teams and external contractors, companies, and agencies.

Pay: £37,500.00-£43,000.00 per year
