**Job Summary**

Contessa Curtains is looking for a Part-Time Retail & Admin Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied role combining customer-facing retail work with back-office clerical support—perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships with customers while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

**Duties**

**Retail**:

- Customer Service & Retail (Front of House):

- Greet and serve customers with a welcoming, helpful attitude
- Offer advice and support with purchases and queries
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and inviting shop floor
- Build rapport and long-term relationships with regular customers
- Ensure customer information is handled securely and in line with GDPR

**Admin & Clerical Support (Back Office)**:

- Input sales and purchase invoices into Sage
- Enter and update customer and supplier information
- Log timesheets accurately and promptly
- Verify accuracy of invoices prior to entry
- Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
- Scan, file, and organise documents in line with record retention policies
- Maintain digital and paper records of invoices and receipts
- Support overall business compliance and efficiency

**Qualifications**
- A genuine enthusiasm for customer service and helping people
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Basic understanding of accounting terms
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Ability to work independently, manage your own tasks, and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Sage software is a plus, but full training will be provided

**Working Hours**

25 hours per week, including Saturdays

1 Saturday off in every 4 (rota-based)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
