**Passionate about being a Safeguarding Support Worker?**

The Safeguarding Support Worker will share responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school (including online safety) with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and wider safeguarding team. They will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children.

To remove barriers to learning for targeted students in the classroom and in unstructured time such as break and lunchtime and supporting 1:1 talking interventions.

They will advise and support other members of staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police.

**Training**

We provided in house and external where appropriate CPD training for all tutors and staff. In addition, all new, recently qualified teachers and graduates are ‘buddied’ with experienced teachers to provide support and direction in teaching and learning and our centre ethos.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,500.00-£25,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)

- DBS (preferred)
