**About the Role**:
**Trainer**

As an inclusive, forward thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Human Resources across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Trainer to join our HR Team, based at our Wednesbury site.

**Purpose of the role**:
As a Trainer, you will provide the delivery and support the co-ordination of off-the-job operational training, including induction, refresher training, manual handling, food safety and health and safety.

**Your key responsibilities as a Trainer will include**:

- Responsible for the delivery of site induction, including taking Right to Work documentation and ensuring completion of new starter paperwork
- Manage and coordinate training matrixes to ensure and monitor training compliance
- Coordinate and deliver on site refresher and manual handling training
- Deliver food safety training to maintain compliance in line with the needs of the business / our customers
- Co-ordinate English Development training in line with site requirements / gap analysis, utilising the ESAs to deliver activities
- To arrange, create, produce and distribute training-related material
- To keep accurate training records that are comprehensive and up-to-date to ensure accurate KPI reporting
- Work with line managers to develop, implement and review competency / verification of learning assessments
- Carry out manual handling reviews, coaching colleagues in good practice as required
- Invigilate exams in line with Accreditation requirements
- Support delivery of ad-hoc operational training including human rights and ethics training, first line manager development, etc

**What we are looking for**:

- A formal learning and development qualification at Level 3/CIPD/TAP
- Strong and engaging communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Willingness to personally develop.
- Previous experience in a training delivery/facilitation role
- Competent user of Microsoft Office - in particular MS PowerPoint
- Minimum GCSE A-C Grades in Maths and English or equivalent
