- Job Purpose:
A senior and principal role in data protection compliance and best practice within the Data Protection Team. This is across several worldwide MR Group entities and for various data privacy regulations. Serve as a primary contact and liaison on all data protection related matters and will engage with senior management and directors. Deputise for the DPO as required. Will work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, HR, IT and Information Security. You will report into the Data protection officer. You will work on a hybrid working model.
**Responsibilities**:
- Primary contact and senior expert on data protection related matters for EU and UK. Will deputise for the DPO.
- Implement and maintain a privacy framework across a number of MR Group organisations globally
- Develop and maintain data protection policies, DP standards and privacy notices with senior management and other stakeholders
- Conduct third party data protection assessments and questionnaires.
- Review contracts and other agreements with key stakeholders for data protection compliance.
- Conduct DPIAs and TIAs.
- Develop and assist in delivering privacy trainings.
- Participate in the Information security function for security incidents and breaches.
- Assist in maintaining the Data Asset Register (record of processing)

**Essential**:
- Professional work experience in the field of data protection
- Knowledge of the workings of an insurance or reinsurance companies
- An understanding of audit, legal and risk
- Independently work and take responsibility for independent delivery of tasks.
- Methodical mindset.
**Desirable**:
- Managing challenging workloads for multiple teams.
**Qualifications and Educational Requirements**:
- A law or related degree
- Data Protection Certification CIPP or ISEB/BCS Registered Practitioner qualification
- Appropriate work experience within data privacy
