We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team in St Helens. LJS Accounting Services are an accountancy firm with 3 offices (St Helens, Liverpool and Wirral). Our team is fairly small but has already doubled in the past year due to our success within the industry, and continues to grow (hence the need for this role).
The skills we require for the job include experience with the following:
- Sales and Purchase invoice processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Use of MTD software (E.g Quickbooks, Xero, Sage50)
- Use of Microsoft Office software (predominately Outlook and Excel)
- Preparation of VAT returns
The role is solely comprised of bookkeeping, you will be given a list of your own clients to attend to with some small admin tasks (e.g filing correspondence). Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with the option to move the hours between 8am and 6pm after a successful probation.
The team are very social and enjoy having monthly ‘themed’ days on which we have lunch together and even get dressed up. We also have on-site parking, staff socials throughout the year and annual leave rollover options.
As a whole we are looking for someone with the right skill set, who can jump straight in and who is not afraid to ask questions. They need to be organised and can work independently as well as part of a team. We are a friendly bunch and would just like someone who can join in and have fun, but is also motivated to help us grow the firm even further.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
