Assistant Critical Time Intervention Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Critical Time Intervention Practitioner to work within our health team at HM Prison Lincoln, providing Critical Time Interventions for a period of intensive one to one support prior to release and for a 6 week period after release from prison in order to enable former prisoners with mental health problems to have the best opportunity to make a success of their transition from custody to the community.
This service is intended to start working with people before they leave prison and help them to make the transition to community-based services that will provide the health and social care that they need.
You will need the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative with sound clinical knowledge, judgment and have the ability to work on site and within the community.
At HMP Lincoln we provide care to offenders that are equivalent to those in the community.
You should be enthusiastic, motivated patient focused and enjoy a challenge. We operate an off-duty rota system and provide a service 7 days a week, over 24 hours. The team operates in a supportive environment with a commitment to personal and professional development

The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.
The Directorate provides healthcare to 7 Prisons and an IRC for a population of over 10 000. You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development. We also offer services within the Personality Disorder Pathway, including Therapeutic Communities (within prisons), Community and Prison Personality Disorder services and specialist Veteran Services.
